It’s fair to say that we have a loyal team at Saxon and our customers recognise and love the positive vibes at our site.
We’ve been baking potatoes in Lincolnshire for over 30 years, changing our name to Saxon when acquired by the Abbeydale Food Group in 2011. Our Mushy pea business is even older, starting from humble beginnings in a market stall in Bradford over 40 years ago before moving to our Saxon site in 2014.
Still based in Lincolnshire, Saxon was acquired by Tuber Produce Group in November 2021.
With potatoes and peas at the heart of our business where else would we want to be but in the heart some of the best growing areas in the country? Our Saxon site is ideally placed in North Lincolnshire enabling us to easily access lots of produce from the surrounding local counties.
We have been honing our skills at Saxon for some years now and, combined with the knowledge we have developed on our raw materials, we produce great tasting, healthy and convenient foods. In turn, this has led to us being awarded the highest food accreditation (BRC) as well as being approved by many of the major grocery and food service customers.
